All athletes planning to join Team Beta for the 2026–2027 season are required to attend tryouts on July 25th, 2026 from 12:00 PM–2:00 PM.
During the two-hour session, athletes will participate in a normal training environment where they can climb, meet coaches, and become familiar with the Team Beta program. Coaches will evaluate each athlete based on movement skills, behavior, coachability, effort, and overall engagement.
After tryouts, families will receive an email notifying them of their athlete’s team placement. Following placement, required parent meetings will be scheduled to review season expectations, training structure, and program details.
The official season will begin on August 3rd, 2026.

No experience necessary! Team Beta offers youth climbing programs for kids of all skill levels, from first-time climbers to experienced competitors. Our coaches create supportive training environments that help every athlete build confidence, technique, and a love for climbing.

Nothing at all! Tryouts are free for both new and existing Team beta athletes.

Recreational rock climbing is designed for athletes who are new to climbing or who prefer a fun, non-competitive environment. Recreational team athletes focus on building foundational rock climbing skills, movement techniques, strength, and confidence while progressing at their own pace.
Competitive climbing is geared toward athletes who are interested in training and competing in the sport of climbing. In addition to developing advanced climbing skills, competitive team athletes work with coaches on competition strategy, mental preparation, and discipline-specific training to progress through the USA Climbing Youth Circuit and beyond.
