1:30 pm - Youth Comp Awards
2:30 pm to 5 pm - Adult Competition
5 pm - Food and Beverages
6 pm - Finals Competition
The Award Ceremony will follow Finals
DIVISIONS AND FORMAT
The Boulder Blast will be a redpoint format competition in both men’s and women’s categories. These categories have the opportunity to compete for the allotted prizes, NOT the cash purse. If you enter in advanced you do not have the opportunity to win a cash prize even if you outscore an Open category athlete. Division winners for each gender category will be determined by the following skill levels:
Beginner - (V0 to V2)
Intermediate - (V3 to V6)
Advanced - (V7 and up)
Open* - (Any Skill Level)
*Entry into the Open category means you are competing for a chance to go to finals and compete for the cash purse. Only competitors registered in the Open category will be eligible to compete in Finals.
Beta Gym Full-Members - $40
Non-Beta Gym Members - $50
Registration fee increases $10 Sunday, April 1, 2019.
Registration includes a competition tee shirt. Please note that selected tee shirt size is only guaranteed for preregistered competitors.
Optional Food Ticket* - $10
*Flagstaff’s own Wil’s Grill will be onsite all-day Saturday manning the BBQ. A meal ticket will be available to purchase upon preregistration and will be included in your competition packet if purchased. The meal ticket includes an entrée, one side, and one drink at a discounted rate.
All food proceeds go to Beta’s youth climbing team!
1st place men’s and women’s – $550/each
2nd place men’s and women’s – $450/each
3rd place men’s and women’s – $250/each
*Cash prizes will be awarded to finals competitors only.
